Service Dog Task Training
Service Description
Behav-N-Dogs expert coaches individuals who have disabilities on how to train their own dog to be of service to them. This is considered an owner-trained service dog coaching program. The tasks each dog will learns all depends on what the owner's needs are. Some of the tasks Behav-N-Dogs expert Rachael Haddan, has coached owners/co-owners to train are: retrieval of dropped items, finding lost items; opening/closing doors, stability support (stabilize off balance owners); interrupting owners anxious behavior; provide deep pressure therapy for owners with anxiety/PTSD symptoms; lead owners back to car/home/safe location for owners with memory issues; public access manners. Etc. Note this is not all inclusive; thus if you need assistance in training your dog to be of service to you, please contact Behav-N-Dogs Trainer Rachael Haddan to see if she can help you. Rachael does not currently board to train dogs. Dogs must have an even temperament for service work. ($118.34 per hour session per dog). $1,420.08 for a 12 week course of service task training and public access training. This course contains one-hour session per week. The owner receives homework to practice between sessions. Payments due in full for weekly course. A second option is for participants to enroll in the "Gold" Subscription plan where they will be eligible for 1 session per a month for a discount. Participants must have gone through the 12-week advanced obedience course prior.
Cancellation Policy
Due to high demand for services, Behav-N-Dogs requires 24 hours notice for cancellation and rescheduling services. For both cancellations and rescheduling please call/text 719-334-8111. If services are canceled and/or rescheduled with less then 24 hours notice, you may be charged a one-time fee of $25.
