Dog Behavior Modification
Service Description
Behav-N-Dogs Trainer Rachael Haddan will evaluate your individual situation then help you develop an individualized behavior modification training plan for your dog(s). Thus, helping the dog overcome problem areas with a combination of training appropriate behavior that is incompatible with the unacceptable behavior, counter-conditioning and desensitization. Sometimes medications can help with the behavior modification process. If Rachael thinks your dog could benefit from a medication to help your dog with anxious or overly reactive behavior she will recommend you speak with your dog's regular veterinarian. Your dog's regular vet can then give you a referral to a veterinary animal behaviorist if needed and/or prescribe necessary medication(s). Rachael Haddan uses evidence-based best practice methods, which are proven effective behavior modification protocols. Here is a list of common behavior problems that can be modified with proper behavior modification: fearfulness; fear aggression; dog-to-dog aggression; food aggression; excessive humping; resource guarding; dog fighting with other household dogs; aggression towards people within/outside the home; excessive barking; separation anxiety; destroying things; overly hyper; aggression towards other animals; chasing other animals/cars/moving objects; and overly-reactive while on the leash during walks. $25-$95 per hour depending upon zip code and severity of behavior issues
